NOAA and University of New Hampshire to announce new center for ocean and Great Lakes mapping

On Tuesday, September 19, NOAA and the University of New Hampshire (UNH) will announce a new Center of Excellence for Operational Ocean and Great Lakes Mapping during a media event at the University of New Hampshire campus. 

The new Center of Excellence will serve as a focal point for advancing research and technical expertise, and facilitating advanced educational programs focused on coastal, ocean and Great Lakes mapping. It will enhance existing collaboration between NOAA and UNH in the fields of hydrography and coastal and ocean mapping, and help develop the next generation of mapping professionals.
