NOAA to issue 2018 Atlantic hurricane season outlook May 24

NOAA will announce its initial outlook for the 2018 Atlantic hurricane season during a news conference on May 24 at NOAA’s Aircraft Operations Center in Lakeland, Florida. Speakers will address the expected activity for the 2018 season, as well as highlight NOAA model upgrades, new forecast products and observational enhancements. NOAA and FEMA will provide information about how the public can prepare for the upcoming hurricane season, which officially begins on June 1.
