Connect with your local aquarium for a month of learning and ocean stewardship
Throughout the month of September, NOAA Education’s partner aquariums will be holding events that engage the public in protecting coastal and marine ecosystems. From finding endangered Cook Inlet beluga whales with the Alaska SeaLife Center to cleaning up the Tampa beach alongside The Florida Aquarium, people across the country have the opportunity to connect with their local aquariums to make a positive impact for the ocean.
Participating aquariums have been coordinating and collaborating on these events as members of the Coastal Ecosystem Learning Center (CELC) Network, a consortium of 27 aquariums and marine science education centers across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. NOAA’s Office of Education manages this network, bringing institutions together to learn from each other and from the latest in NOAA science.
