Description
Members of the Western Pacific Regional Fishery Management Council celebratetheir 30th anniversary and NOAA's 200th anniversary. The council has promotedenvironmentally responsible fishing by banning trawls, drift gillnets, and other destructive fishing gears and has employed side-setting circle hooks and othermethods to reduce protected species interactions.
