A little-known aspect of the U.S. fisheries is the reduction industry thatproduces fish meal and oil. Most of the fishmeal goes into feed for good andrapid growth of poultry - chicken broilers, chicken breeders and layers, andturkeys. Fishmeal is an excellent balanced source of amino acids (components of protein) and adds minerals and vitamins to the feed.
