A partially eaten colony of bamboo whip coral and a Walteria flemmingihexactellinid sponge that appears to be dying. It is already being used ashabitat by large yellow feather star crinoids and multiple pinkish brittle stars. At least three brittle stars can be seen on the bottom near the bamboocoral. Otherwise the area seems quite devoid of visible life forms. (Image credit: NOAA Office of Ocean Exploration and Research, 2015 Hohonu Moana)
