Description
Ultraviolet Instruments at the Mauna Loa Observatory. Three GLOBE ultravioletinstruments are busily making unattended measurements from the instrument deskover the NDSC Building at Hawaii's Mauna Loa Observatory. These instruments were built by Dr. David Brooks of Drexel, using light-emitting diodes to detect andmeasure sunlight, a technique developed by Forest M. Mims III. (Image credit: Forrest M. Mims III)
