Description
A soaring California condor, North America's largest land bird with a wing spanof nearly 10 feet and weight up to 26 pounds. This bird was brought back fromthe edge of extinction with only twenty-two left alive but through protectionand a captive breeding program, now over 200 condors soar over the skies ofsouthern and central California and another 179 live in captivity.
