Description
A cross-NOAA workshop was held to assess how NOAA uses Global PositioningSystem (GPS) technologies in operations and research. The 2-day workshopinvolved 56 participants from across most line offices and many locations. GPSis mainly used within NOAA for navigational purposes but also for tracking radiosondes, storm damage marking, datum referencing, and numerous other uses.
