Figure 57. Trawl line hooks. Top: Hooks with their leaders. Bottom: anindividual hook. The hooks were spread out along the same line and used to goodadvantage for catching fish, similar to what is called long-lining today.Prince Albert I of Monaco used this method in his first scientific expeditions.This method was particularly used by Henry Bouree for his studies.
