Figure 61. Richard bottle (1940 model) devised by Dr. Jules Richard, Directorof the Oceanographic Museum at Monaco, and constructed by Charles Calleri, atthat time the museum's instrument maker. This bottle did not represent a stepforward, but instead was an example of using material's at hand to construct asampling device during the difficult days of WW II.
