Description
Albert Boschke's map of the District of Columbia. Boschke produced this mapwhile moonlighting. He was cartographer with the C&GS.; This map wasconsidered so accurate and the placement of buildings and other cultural objects so precise, that the Army confiscated the map and the accompanying copperplates at the beginning of the Civil.
