Description

Kachemak Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve. Black oyster catchers (Haematopus bachmani) on offshore rocks, one of 70 shorebird species found inKachemak Bay. Black oyster catchers are residents over most of their range,moving away from their breeding sites in winter.
