Description

Kachemak Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve. An aerial photographshowing beetle-killed spruce forest near Kachemak Bay. The infestation hasresulted in increased logging throughout the Kenai Peninsula to reduce firedanger. Logs and wood chips are trucked to Homer for shipment to Asian markets.
