Description

Augustus Rodgers, brother of Navy hero John Rodgers. Augustus was a pioneer onsurvey of the West Coast and remained there for 50 years. He replaced GeorgeDavidson as head of the western operations of the Survey in 1895. He produced anumber of beautiful topographic sheets of the San Francisco Bay area.
