Description

Charles Anton Schott, Chief Geodesist, Mathematician, and Magnetician ofthe Coast and Geodetic Survey for much of the latter half of the NineteenthCentury. He was a charter member of the National Academy of Sciences. Schottwas also considered to be the first statistical climatologist by Cleveland Abbe.
