NOAA Port Agent Joanne Pellegrino, stationed in Toms River, New Jersey, removes an otolith (ear bone) from a Golden Tilefish, as part of a biological samplingexercise. Port Agents visit docks, where fish are off loaded by commercialfishers, to take samples, measure and weigh the fish.
