NOAA representatives from around the Great Lakes region co-hosted a day-longevent with Chicago's Shedd Aquarium as part of NOAA's 200th Celebration. AGreat Day in the Great Lakes featured day-long NOAA and Sea Grant and a NOAAGreen Ship open house. The R/V Laurentian, shown here, is one of three petroleum-free ships operated by NOAA's GLERL, the only such ships in the Federal fleet.
