Description
Cyanobacteria are increasingly common on Caribbean coral reefs and arefrequently found overgrowing benthic organisms such as this soft coral(Eunicea sp.). Although some cyanobacteria form symbiotic relationships with ahost organism, others are detrimental and can cause tissue necrosis andmortality.
