BCF scientists studying mating behavior of squid. After mating, females deposit egg capsule strands on the calcareous sand bottom. The lights have attractedthe squid to the locality. In the background is Deep Diver, a researchsubmersible of Ocean Systems, Inc., from which the divers have emerged.
