Northern fur seal floating, asleep, with back flippers folded over on left front flipper. The fur seal fishery in the Bering Sea is an outstanding example ofsuccessful management. The resource - after overexploitation caused a seriousdecline - has been restored by wise application of knowledge after many years of scientific research.
