Description
Station Bennett on a volcanic diatreme similar to Shiprock. The station was onthe shoulder of the high sharp peak as the peak itself could only have beenscaled with great difficulty. Bennett Peak was named for Frank Bennett, Indianagent for the Navajos, in the late 19th Century. Party of Lieutenant JackJohnson.
