This particular chart was used to compare soundings from the Coast and Geodetic Survey SteamerBLAKE with those of the newly commissioned Fish Commission Steamer ALBATROSS.All soundings in brown were obtained by the ALBATROSS on what must have been one of its earliest cruises.
