A map of New York City and Environs by Adolph Lindenkohl and P. Witzel, engraved by Henry Lindenkohl. This map shows the blurry line between commercial andgovernment work in the mid-Nineteenth Century. The Lindenkohl's were CoastSurvey cartographers but they produced this commercial product from Coast Surveydata.
