Ear Mountain rises behind the cemetery of Shishmaref, Alaskaon an unusually warm and sunny day in FebruaryShishmaref is a threatened community. Sea level rise and ice loss is causing the island to lose feet to the Chukchi Sea every year. This community willdisappear beneath the sea in the next 30-50 years.
