A nesting Adelie penguin

Description

A nesting Adelie penguin. Adults build nests made of small stones, and parentstake turns incubating the two eggs. The French explorer Jules Dumont d'Urvillenamed these penguins after his wife , Adelie. They are the smallest species ofpenguin in the Antarctic.
