Description

The KOKI MARU, a fur seal harpoon boat or tsukimbo sen. When seals aresighted, three hunters shoot from the low platform. The shooters, using handsignals, direct the helmsman who stands atop the tiller house at the stern.Harpoons at the side of the shooting platform are used for retrieving carcasses.
