Description

ALBATROSS IV under construction, keel up, at the Southern ShipbuildingCorporation at Slidell, Louisiana. The hull was righted by cranes at theappropriate stage of construction . The ship was dedicated at Woods Hole,Massachusetts, on May 9, 1963.
