Following the attack on Pearl Harbor the BOQhoused families from Ford Island for days following the Pearl Harbor attack onDecember 7, 1941. The BOQ was demolished in 1952. Officers of the NOAAShip KA'IMIMOANA pay their respects to the memory of those who served here.
