Six's thermometer, Miller and Casella, 1869 model.This thermometer was made at the request of Doctor William Miller, vice-president of the Royal Society, and produced by the firm of Louis Casella. Thisthermometer was designed to resist the effects of pressure. This instrument was first used in May 1869.
