The C&GS; steamer EXPLORER offloaded 269 passengers and 7crew from the Canadian Pacific steamer PRINCESS CHARLOTTE to Wrangell,Alaska. The PRINCESS CHARLOTTE was drifting without power and was towedto Wrangell where the EXPLORER assisted it in docking.
