Diagram of orbital path of TIROS satellite after launch. First orbit is to theright and increase to most recent orbit on the left. Note that inclined orbitonly takes TIROS satellite to approximately 50 North Latitude and 58 SouthLatitude. Each orbit took approximately 117 minutes.
