Cover of Volume 2, No. 6, of the Army Air Forces Weather Service Bulletin. Tracking a pilot balloon with a bedspring radio direction finder SCR-658 usedfor determining winds aloft. The observer is able to follow a free balloon-transmitter very accurately by adjusting the azimuth and elevation of the bedspringantennae.
