Impacts on coastal flooding, snowpack, drought and salmon
On Wednesday, March 9, four NOAA scientists will present a sampling of new research on how the current El Niño is affecting drought, snowpack, coastal flooding and salmon. The researchers will also discuss how they are using science to improve the prediction of water-related threats and hazards. As the federal agency charged with water prediction and warning responsibilities, NOAA is uniquely positioned to provide communities with the environmental information needed meet these challenges.
