NOAA hurricane experts available at Governor’s Hurricane Conference

Meet the NHC acting director and hurricane specialists one-on-one

NOAA’s National Hurricane Center acting director Edward Rappaport, Ph.D., and several hurricane specialists will be available for media interviews at the 31st annual Governor’s Hurricane Conference in West Palm Beach, Florida, on May 17th.

Hurricane specialists from the center, part of the National Weather Service, will join experts from state and local agencies, emergency managers, first responders and others for training courses, workshops and panel discussions on tropical cyclones and storm mitigation.
