There is currently a potential scammer that is targeting businesses that work with NOAA. They are sending fake Purchase Orders from made up accounts personating NOAA Personnel. Whenever you are contacted by someone within NOAA please ensure that the email address ends in “.gov” they are sending emails from accounts with a”-gov.org” account. If you have any suspicions do not reply directly to the email, instead contact someone directly within NOAA. You can also check with the NOAA Small Business Office if you are unsure at noaasb@noaa.gov.
