NOAA's Hydrographic Services Review Panel, which advises the NOAA Administrator on products and services related to navigation services, water levels and currents, and positioning, will focus on Alaska and the U.S. Arctic at a public meeting Aug. 28-30, in Juneau, Alaska.

On the morning of Tue., Aug. 28, the panel will hold a joint session with the U.S. Integrated Ocean Observing System Advisory Committee. This session will concentrate on improving navigation, observations, and positioning services for Alaska by addressing gaps in NOAA services and observations, and discussing innovative technology and partnerships to address those gaps.

Participants will receive updates from NOAA, partners, and stakeholders about regional activities and resource needs, the current priorities for Alaska and the Arctic, water level partnerships, and integrated coastal and ocean mapping activities. HSRP members will consider information from this meeting in making recommendations to the NOAA administrator.

The public is invited to attend the meeting in person or online, and can provide letters or comments before or during the meeting.
