Senior Advisor

Renee Stone is NOAA’s senior advisor for infrastructure. In this role, she manages the implementation of the agency’s funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the Inflation Reduction Act. 

Stone previously served as NOAA’s chief of staff in the Obama Administration. Prior to joining NOAA, Stone held senior policy, legal and management positions at the U.S. Department of the Interior (including the National Park Service), and the U.S. Department of Energy. 

She holds a J.D. from Stanford Law School, a master's degree in modern history from Oxford University, and a bachelor of arts degree in English from Rollins College. Stone is both a Rhodes Scholar and a Truman Scholar.
