Resources for alumni interested in a career at NOAA

Finding a career at NOAA

NOAA federal employees work in a wide variety of careers. You can find many of them by searching for "NOAA" at USAJOBS. But, getting a federal job isn’t the only way to support NOAA’s mission. You can also work at a private company contracted to support NOAA. Learn more about finding and applying for jobs at NOAA and supporting the NOAA mission.

21st Century Conservation Service Corps Act Direct Hiring Authority

NOAA received direct hire authority through the 21st Century Conservation Service Corps Act of 2019 (CCA DHA). This authority allows us to hire qualified recent graduates who participated in eligible NOAA summer internships or fellowships into federal positions through a more direct process than the typical federal hiring process. Learn more about eligibility and how the process works.

Federal Pathways Program for students and recent graduates

The Pathways Program offers federal internship and employment opportunities for current students, recent graduates and those with an advanced degree. Students in high school, college, graduate school, trade school, and other educational institutions may be eligible.
