Voyage to Justice: Equity & Climate Justice Forum

Join the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) for Voyage to Justice: Equity & Climate Justice Forum, from 8:30am - 4:30pm, on February 14 and 15, 2024.

Through NOAA’s mission of science, service, and stewardship we strive to address the climate crisis and the environmental injustices disproportionately borne by people of color and low income communities by providing the latest environmental intelligence for our oceans and atmosphere.

This two-day in person event convenes federal agencies, local government, community stakeholders, advocacy organizations, and public and private sector companies to collaborate on advancing climate and environmental justice. The Forum will take place at the Silver Spring Civic Center, and registration is free.

The goals of the Voyage to Justice: Equity and Climate Justice Forum are to:

• Highlight the relevance of equity, climate justice, and environmental justice to NOAA’s mission

• Provide a space for learning that enhances connection with partners and practitioners, and community, and 
• Promote opportunities for engagement, collaboration, and partnership for future work

• Community vulnerability to climate hazards
• Equity and Environmental Justice capacity building
• Equitable service delivery & grantmaking
• Local & Indigenous Knowledge
