NOAA has enterprise license agreement contracts with major geospatial software companies, including Esri and Google, to ensure NOAA offices and staff have access to the GIS software, services, training, and technical support necessary to support NOAA’s mission. These enterprise-wide contracts have been instrumental in enabling all components of NOAA, including core operational support functions, mission support, and research and development, to incorporate GIS processing and analytics into their daily tasks.
