Application

Applications for the Young Changemakers Class of 2024-2025 are now closed. The next application period is anticipated to open in spring 2025.

Below are the steps we asked last year's applicants to complete, for your reference:

First, be sure that you’ve read about the program and confirmed that you are eligible to apply.

Next, preview the application here. Please read the whole application carefully, making sure you are ready to commit to the program before applying. Please also note that the application requires a letter of recommendation from someone who knows you and is not your parent or legal guardian.

Then, craft your application! We recommend drafting your responses in a separate document and then copying your final responses into the official application Google Form offsite link, as the Form itself may not save your work.

Finally, submit your application via the official Google Form offsite link by June 10, 2024, at 11:59pm Eastern time. We will not be able to accept late applications or applications not submitted via this form.

Applications are due on June 10, 2024.

If you have any questions or accessibility needs on the application, please contact young.changemakers@noaa.gov.

About a dozen high school students and NOAA staff smile at the camera in the Capitol Rotunda. Behind them is a large piece of artwork.
The Young Changemakers Fellowship class of 2023-2024 visited the Capitol building to learn about its history and the lawmaking activities that go on inside it.
