The RDHPCS Cloud platform offers additional resources to RDHPCS system users. Cloud users create transient High-Performance Computing clusters to enhance their allotted computing allocation, or to meet the demands of specific resource-intensive situations.
RDHPCS uses Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Compute Platform (GCP) as Cloud Service Providers (CSPs). In addition to enhancing computing allocation, CSPs offer immediate access to new and novel technologies, such as new chip architectures, GPUs and other parallel file systems. Access to the CSPs and CSP utilization are managed through a Parallel Works environment. The Parallel Works application delivers an identical user experience regardless of CSP.
